Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Honored with Prestigious Award by the Indian Chamber of Commerce

Kathmandu. Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited, which has been providing modern, secure, and convenient banking services to its customers, has been honored with a prestigious award by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Kolkata, India. The Bank received the award under the “Rising Star – Growth” category.
The Bank was also recognized under the “Asset Quality” category last year, marking its second consecutive recognition by the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
The award was presented during the 4th Emerging Asia Banking Conclave & Awards, held in New Delhi on July 24, 2026. The conclave is regarded as one of the most prestigious banking events in the BIMSTEC region and witnessed the participation of banks from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.
Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank received the award in recognition of its outstanding performance in expanding digital banking services, developing innovative financial products, growing its business operations, enhancing financial inclusion, and promoting responsible banking practices.
The Bank believes that this recognition will further strengthen its identity and presence in the international banking sector.
Recently, the Bank also commenced operations of its Digital Hub with a Coffee Lounge at Gyaneshwor, Ward No. 30, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Kathmandu.
