Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Launches Nursing Care Room and Day Care Facility

Kathmandu. On the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week 2026 (August 1–7), Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Ltd. has launched a Nursing Care Room and Day Care Facility at its Central Office, Durbar Marg, with the objective of prioritizing motherhood and supporting its women employees.

The facility has been established to provide breastfeeding mothers with a safe, comfortable, hygienic, and private environment to nurse and care for their infants. The Nursing Care Room and Day Care Facility was formally inaugurated yesterday during a special program by the President of Mahalaxmi Women’s Leadership and Development Forum.

The Forum was established on the occasion of the Bank’s 32nd Anniversary with the objective of strengthening women’s leadership capabilities, enabling them to play a more effective role in the Bank’s institutional development, enhancing professional competence and self-confidence, promoting equal opportunities and an inclusive workplace, and conducting various programs aimed at women’s empowerment.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has consistently prioritized inclusiveness and gender equality. The establishment of this facility reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to fostering an employee-friendly, family-friendly, and inclusive work culture by respecting motherhood, promoting work-life balance, and enhancing employee well-being.
