National Cricket icon Kushal Malla receives “Sanskriti Sports Samman 2023” award

Kathmandu : Sanskriti International School has awarded an Annual Award in the name of the “Sanskriti Sports Samman” annual sports award to encourage rising talents in the national sports arena. This award is conferred annually in accordance with the English calendar (A.D.) to one sportsperson who has performed best in the sports sector and excelled in his/her field in 2023.
The award for this year, 2023, is presented to Mr. Kushal Malla, who became the fastest scorer of a T20I century, off just 34 balls, in the opening match of the 2022 Asian Games against Mongolia.
The award was handed over to Kushal Malla by Mr. Paras Khadka, The Chief Guest of the program, as well as the former captain of the National Cricket Team, in the presence of Mr. Ranjit Acharya, Chairperson, Sanskriti International School, along with Ms. Diptee Acharya, Director of Sanskriti International School, handed over a cheque of amount Rs. 1,01,000 to Kushal Malla.
Similarly, in the same program, the training scholarship worth Rs 50,000/- was given to Miss Soni Pakhrin. This training scholars is for deserving under 19 cricket players from across the country who cannot afford professional training. Ms. Soni Pakhrin is now in the national women's cricket team. This training will be provided by the Cricket Excellence Centre, run by cricket Paras Khadka.
Mr. Ranjit Acharya, Chairperson of Sanskriti International School, expressed, "At Sanskriti, we are committed to fostering the holistic development of our students and contributing to society. Through the 'Sanskriti Sports Samman' annual award, we aim to inspire our national talents and instil in our students a sense of responsibility towards building a compassionate society. We extend our heartfelt wishes to Kushal Malla for a successful journey in days to come, hoping he achieves much bigger milestones in future. Additionally, we congratulate Miss Soni Pakhrin on securing the training scholarship and express our hope for her future selection in the National Cricket Team."
